Lara Croft Shines

And that’s not just us throwing sappy compliments at Eidos’ leading lady – her new game’s gone gold!

We can’t help but get excited every time we hear of Lara Croft’s imminent return to consoles. After all, with development now in the hands of Crystal Dynamics and considering the team’s approach (read: actually raiding tombs) harks back to the glory days of Tomb Raider 2, what’s not to get giddy over?

An April 11 release date was set in stone nearly two months, and to assure that target date still rings true, Eidos Interactive announced today that Tomb Raider: Legend has gone gold and is ready for production.

We know, we know. Another two weeks without putting Lara’s dashing new acrobatic moves to use in high-detailed glory is the equivalent of a junkie’s withdrawal, but you can make it, right? Just browse through our heaping media section and gawk at that sexy new Lara Croft model if you please – do whatever it takes! Just... disregard that previous analogy and don't do drugs. Please.
