Updated Legend
Eidos adds new info, media and goodies for visitors to the official Tomb Raider: Legend site.
Published: July 22, 2005
High-profile games get dedicated web sites all the time, but when you combine the promise of regular updates with the non-stop e-mail deluge that is the Eidos PR machine, it means every little change to the site is good enough to send out a press blast about.
Since we love them (and because it's a bit of a slow news day before the weekend), we're more than happy to pass along the update details. Keep in mind that you'll have to register as a VIP at the official Tomb Raider: Legend site to check out the following updates (or read on a little more for a nice surprise), but some of the stuff already there is cool enough to register for -- if you still love Lara, of course.
The new updates include:
-10 new screenshots highlighting the extensive work developer Crystal Dynamics has done to the animation system in addition to all the fancy pants new environments and moves Lara has at her disposal
-3 new concept art images show how much detail goes into the composition of the game before it even starts turning into ones and zeroes
-An interesting (honestly!) interview with series creator Toby Gard discussing how Lara first came to be, how she's changed over the years, and what kind of direction the creator will add to the newest game in the series.
-A new wallpaper image
Once you've registered, definitely check out the 3D screen shots. Some of the vistas the game offer look like they'll be awesome. Of course, if you just HAVE to see the screens but can't handle all that Flash, we've got you covered on our . Go check 'em out!
