Make Maps Like A Pro
Eidos and Free Radical serve up everything you ever wanted to know about TimeSplitters 2 map making.

TimeSplitters 2 is fun. Hell, it's lots of fun, and that's something that should be readily apparent from the way it's flying off shelves like crazy. Really all you need with the game is about five minutes or so, and you'll see what tasty goodness a couple years and lots of PS2 hardware voodoo can come up with.
Of course, some of you will only experience the multiplayer aspect of TS2, which in itself is plenty of reason to get jazzed over the game. But there's more, of course, oh so much more in the form of a story mode (one that actually has a story, rather than the mish-mash of levels with no real purpose in the first game) and a ultra-tasty map editor/maker/whatever you want to call it.
Tired of fragging friends on the same few maps? Fine, Mr. Impatient, make your own, and show those friends of yours that you're the next digital Frank Lloyd Wright. Ah, but what if you aren't a master of the mapmaking arts? Gotcha covered. Behold the goodness of the official mapmaking site for TimeSplitters 2, doused heavily in zany monkey goodness, the site is literally brimming with every little factoid and walkthrough from the boys and girls that helped create that game you've come to know and love.
Decked out with sections on controller button cheat sheets (so you actually know what's happening when you press that button 20 times), general tips and tricks on map creation, forums to yak it up with other budding map Michelangelos and even details on crafting such advanced techniques as lighting, scripting and item placement. If you weren't an expert on assembling frag-heavy perfection, you probably will be after combing over the site.
Personally, we're bummed that you can't take your copy of TS2 online (well, not officially, there're a couple ways floating around out there), but being able to watch your friends' eyes light up as they sprint through your deathmatch creation might be enough to fill that online void. Head on over and check out the site pronto.
