Say Hello To The Return Of Console Deathmatch
What happens when you give some of the guys that created the greatest console shooter ever all the time they need to make a next-generation FPS? Take a look inside and see for yourself.

Ahhh, Free Radical Design. Those kooky Brits that took leave of their Rare brethren to form a company have already shown they know how to make an first-person shooter that's fast and furious -- even in 4-player mode. But their first effort on the PS2, TimeSplitters, delivered little else besides a good multiplayer experience. After all, if these were some of the same guys that made Goldeneye, one of the most immersive multi- AND single-player shooters ever to see a console, why couldn't they do the same on the PS2? The problem was time, or lack thereof.
So Free Radical was given more time. Time to make a sequel. A sequel that would give you real single-player fun, but still keep the great multi-player. Oh, and did we mention that it's freakin' GORGEOUS? Well, it is. The latest batch of screenshots from the game will prove that, and while we have yet to really delve deep into TimeSplitters 2's gameplay, rest assured that we'll have full impressions soon enough. For now, take a looksee at the difference a year makes.
Mmmm... Close quarters combat...
Damn... Oh, and a dam
Laaaaasers
Run for cover!
Puberty can cause some pretty big changes...
