TimeSplitters 2 Announced

Okay, so maybe this isn't a total shock, but you HAVE to see how good this game looks.

TimeSplitters was one of those launch games that managed to deliver something above the norm. It was pretty, had its own style, and was uncompromisingly fast -- even in 4 player deathmatches. Developers Free Radical Design have said before that TimeSplitters was designed to be nothing more than an all-action FPS, and that a more elaborate, story-driven FPS was on the way. Well, it looks like we may be seeing that now.

"With TimeSplitters we were just finding our feet, now we can go to town and show people what we're really capable of doing - TimeSplitters 2 will be an exceptional game," exclaimed Free Radical's Managing Director David Doak.

The sequel promises more of a story presense, multiple objectives per mission, a revamped engine that offers better level designs and more effects, better animation thanks to inverse kinematics, and even cut-scenes during the action. Excited yet? These screens should send you over the edge.
