A Sealed Deal
The Godfather will see you on March 21. As for you PSP owners, well… another day!

EA’s The Godfather The Game was initially meant to make its offer to gamers this past holiday season, but delays in development pushed the mobster remake back to a vague Q1 2006 release. Thankfully, Electronic Arts has been true to their word, today confirming a ship date of March 21 for North America (three days later in Europe) for current-gen consoles, with a PSP (and Xbox 360) release expected later this year. We’re sure The Don approves.
"The Godfather is one of the most exciting, dramatic and memorable works of fiction in the world; for the videogame, we felt it was important to build a complex and responsive open-world that puts you in the heart of the action," worded David DeMartini, Executive Producer of The Godfather The Game. "The deeper you are into the experience the better the game gets.”
"Our goal has always been to maintain the legacy of The Godfather and empower players to interact in the world based on one of the most remarkable motion pictures of all time," added Sandi Isaacs, Vice President of Interactive at Viacom Consumer Products. "Electronic Arts has been an exceptional partner and we're incredibly excited to launch one of the most anticipated games of the year."
We dropped the word on this game nearly a year ago (some delay, eh?), but release date now in stone, you can bet your Mama’s secret recipe that The Godfather The Game will be adorning PS2 shelves nationwide come March 21.
