The Bouncer To Use Digital Sound
The Bouncer will become the first PlayStation2 title to utilize Dolby Digital 5.1 sound technology.

Dolby Laboratories revealed earlier today that Square's upcoming PlayStation2 title; The Bouncer will incorporate Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. The PlayStation2 can utilize both Dolby Digital 5.1 as well as DTS sound technologies.
Takashi Tokita; Director of The Bouncer stated the following in regards to the recent announcement:
[blockquote]"Dolby Digital draws the player right into the action with the sounds of the colossal aircraft engine, gigantic explosions and ambient street life."[/blockquote]Currently, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound technology can be found within various DVD movie titles. It is expected that this technology will fully enhance the fast-paced action sequences within the game.
Formerly known as Ehrgeiz 2, The Bouncer which was first announced earlier in 1999, focuses on a character who plays a bar bouncer who must save his friend from a group of kidnappers. The game was recently released in Japan and will be released in March of 2001 across North America.
