Midway Picks On the Ant Bully
A destined 2006 animated hit in theatres will also be a multi-console game.

We haven't seen the end of movie-based games, folks, not by a long shot. Don't believe me? Midway Games has today secured the rights from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to publish games based on the upcoming animated motion picture The Ant Bully. Told you!
"Being a computer animated film, The Ant Bully will be an exciting property to develop as a game," beams Jason Hall, senior vice president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "The Ant Bully is a highly anticipated film and we look forward to working with Midway to create dynamic games based on a movie with mass appeal for young gamers."
The kid-geared movie is to be directed by John A. Davis, raved for his work on Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and features an all-star cast of voice talent including Nicolas Cage, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, and Cheri Oteri, just to name a few. No word yet on whether or not they'll be lending their talents to the game adaptation as well.
Expect to hear more on The Ant Bully in 2006 when the film hits theatres (in conjunction with the game, we'd imagine).
