Atari announced today the development of Terminator 3: Redemption, a second game based on the blockbuster movie Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Players will once again take the role of the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) in a post-apocalyptic world. Game features include combat and vehicle based combat, an expanded Terminator world, and more.
"Terminator 3: Redemption will give gamers an opportunity to experience the world of Terminator like never before - they will go places and do things that have only been hinted at in the films," said Jim Galis, executive producer, Atari's Paradigm Entertainment studio. "The Terminator movies have become known for their incredible chase scenes and total destruction -- in Terminator 3: Redemption we're going to recreate that moment-by-moment intensity with incredible action-driving only the Terminator license can provide."
Terminator 3: Redemption is slated for a summer 2004 release on the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. Currently in stores is a demo of the game, which is available with the retail version of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (the videogame, that is).
