Activision has finally announced the winners to their Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven "Reel Ninja Film Contest." Drum roll, please?
Published: March 26, 2003
The contest was simple. Create a short film based on ninjas, and if yours was the best, Activision would grant you $15,000. Now, after searching campuses all across America, Activision has finally announced Joshua Gorin from the University of Pennsylvania as the $15,000 Grand Prize Winner of the Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven "Reel Ninja Film Contest." Film director John Woo and producer Terence Chang (at least one of these two should be household names to you) were on-hand to present the Grand Prize to Joshua on his snowy cemetery-based short action movie, titled as simply "The Ninja Movie."
To choose a First Prize Winner, five of the runner-up entries were uploaded onto www.tenchu.com to voted on by fans. 6,000 votes later, Lee Cipolla of Florida State University was awarded the First Prize of $5,000 for his film "Wanna Woo."
Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven is available now, but head on over to check out our full preview to get the skinny on the game first.
