Namco's no stranger to game bundles. They've made a practice out of pairing up their games with some of the more unique peripherals required to get the maximum amount of geeky fun out of stuff like Taiko Drum Master and Crisis Zone.
With Ace Combat 5, however, Namco started going all-out, partnering with Hori to release an extremely limited edition flight stick/game option for the truly hardcore with cash to burn. The partnership was apparently agreeable, because the two are back with a Tekken 5 version that not only lands you a limited edition fighting stick, but a six-disc collector's DVD case to slap all the games in the Tekken franchise into one shebang (provided you own them all, of course).
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Hori and are confident this limited edition bundle set offers gamers the most complete and definitive TEKKEN 5 game play experience,” beamed Namco Hometek Executive VP Garry Cole.
“With so many peripherals in existence, we are committed at Hori to delivering the most unique and highest quality products available for gamers,” said Hori USA's Ray Hiyoshi. “Our newest peripheral was designed for TEKKEN 5 and those who love the best fighting game franchise of all time.”
The game, controller and case will put a dent in your wallet about the size of a Benjamin, weighing in at $99.99. Given how rare the first bundle is now, it's likely the 20,000 sets of the new one won't be on shelves for long.
