No one can argue that Konami's been some kind of gigantic busy bee at TGS this year. Not only have we been treated to Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Acid 2, a PSP port of Suikoden I and II, but now they've officially announced Suikoden V, due out sometime for the PS2.

Suikoden V will send gamers back to the Queendom of Falena, who hardcore fans may remember as the homeland of Lorelai and Killey, and the place where Georg Prime murdered the Queen. The story will again revolve around a True Rune, the Sun Rune.

The game will once again feature the 108 Stars of Destiny, as well as six-member parties in battle, a welcome change from the four-member parties of Suikoden IV. It will also feature a large array of mini-games and the always-welcome homebase system, wherein your party members can be seen prancing around your castle.

No release date has been set, but Suikoden V has been confirmed for a North American release. We'll be sure to bring you the latest news on this and future installments of the series!
