Infogrames and Reflections recently revealed new information concerning their newest PlayStation 2 title, Stuntman. While the game will be the successor to Driver 2, this game will take place with a very different plot and gameplay scheme.

Players will be able to assume the role of a Hollywood stuntman, who is hired to perform various stunts within different films. As players make their way through the game, the stunts will become more challenging, making it more difficult for the stuntman to make it into Hollywood blockbuster films.

Each stunt will include specific objectives, such as 180-degree spins and perfectly timed jumps. In order to become the top stuntman in the industry, players will have to get all of the correct stunts performed at the correct times during a film. Gameplay will take place across six different countries throughout the world.

When a full stunt is properly completed, the player is rewarded with bonus items. Such items can be used within the Stunt Area. Infogrames and Reflections have been working with Vic Armstrong, a real-life stuntman in order to implement a more realistic feel within the gameplay mechanics itself. Armstrong can be credited in such films as Rambo, Indiana Jones, Universal Soldier and Starship Troopers.

We can expect to see more details concerning Stuntman to appear at the 2001 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this May.
