Activision, makers of all things Tony Hawk, have officially announced that their much acclaimed Spiderman series would continue into the next-generation. Within their most recent financial press release, Activision let it slip that the upcoming Sam Raimi (responsible for the Evil Dead series) flick Spiderman: The Movie would be their first effort into the world of PS2.
When contacted for comment, Activision representatives supplied a few other bits of information. Spider-Man: The Movie is slated to hit shelves on the day of the film's release, which is currently May 3, 2002, and will follow in the footsteps of it's PSOne and Dreamcast bretheren as a 3D action game.
