Snoopy Looms over New York

Or at least that part that's blanketed in the glow of Toys 'R' Us' big ass screen.

In marketing, there are promotions and then there are promotions. You know, the kind of stuff that has your product being shown on a giant 10 foot tall by 39 foot wide mega-screen non-stop from Thanksgiving until New Years.

That is a properly done marketing ploy, and so whatever parties are responsible for getting a 45 second Snoopy vs. The Red Baron trailer to loop incessantly at Toys 'R' Us' flagship store in New York City, they all deserve a pat on the back. This is after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Snoopy float was given a face lift to become a Flying Ace depiction of Charles Schulz' trademark beagle.

“It wouldn’t be the holidays without the familiar faces of Snoopy and the Peanuts characters,” claims Makoto Iwai, SVP of the Development Group at Namco Bandai Games America. “With all of the hustle and bustle and excitement in Times Square during the holidays, we are thrilled that Snoopy vs. The Red Baron is available for fans of all ages to see and enjoy.”

For those that haven't seen our review of the game, we were pleasantly surprised with just how good the final game turned out, and should you have both systems, you actually have the choice of picking up either the PS2 version or the PSP one (though we haven't reviewed that one yet). Both go for the same $30 price tag, so hey. Everybody wins! Unless you hate Snoopy, in which case you lose. At life.
