Shadows Across Retail

Hey, buddy, we’re running out of headline steam, okay?

SEGA, by most accounts, seems to be making a turn-around. Of course, before they can do that, they have to push the last of their more... creative franchise decisions out the door to make room for the new stuff. That’s not a dig at Shadow the Hedgehog or anything (okay, it’s not entirely a dig at Shadow the Hedgehog), we just can’t stop letting out muffled giggles every time we think of the whole “hedgehog with a gun” angle.

"By giving Shadow a game of his own, we're able offer a unique gameplay experience while expanding the boundaries of the Sonic universe," managed Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America. "New play mechanics allow Shadow to wield weaponry and use vehicles, while giving players a real sense of control over the story as it unfolds – they decide if Shadow is a hero or a villain."

Bad guy? Good guy? It’s up to you, Sparky, to make the decision. Will you succumb the angst crawling in your skin, or will you break the habit and side with the forces of good? Either way, the game will be a whole lot more fun if you continually make bad Linkin Park references while skating through the game and blowing stuff up. Seriously, try it.

Or just try the game, since it’s out now, and for the low, low price of fitty dollaz and it’s rated E10+, so all you nine year-olds with rage flowing in your veins, you’ll have to order the game online with dad’s credit card to play the game. He can’t tell you what to do! You are not a robot!
