Tactical Gold
And when referencing a game like Samurai Warriors 2 that has just hit gold status, we’re entitled to a headline like that.

We’re no self-proclaimed history buffs, but if the string of Omega Force’s war-torn tactically-driven titles have taught us anything, its that feudal Japan has faced some turbulent times (that, and you can never have enough Dynasty Warriors expansions...but that’s another story!) And why, we only expect to enhance our shallow view whilst tearing through legions of armies with the developer’s latest, Samurai Warriors 2, which has officially struck gold.
The game settles in the post-Ashikaga Shogunate collapse of Japan, at a time when the civil wars that ravaged the country would soon prime it for unification. And who just might be the movers and shakers at such a pivotal point in Japanese history? Samurais and ninjas, of course! Players will have 26 to choose from, including the legendary Musashi Miyamoto, Ieyasu “The Unifier” Tokugawa, and the mysterious ninja Kotaro Fuma.
Brand new tales in the in Story, Free, and Survival modes. A seamless blend between castle and on-field combat. Once-forbidden warrior techniques now revealed. Seven plus unlockable cinematics of samurai history. Two-player co-op and a bonus party game for four, Sugoroku. Yes, friends, it’s all here, and some September 19, it’s your for the taking... so long as you’ve got $39.99 to pay for it. Not enough to tide you over? Heck, that’s what a hands-on preview is for!
