Our friends over at PlanetPS2 have obtained 19 new screenshots of SSX; Electronic Art's upcoming snowboarding title for the PS2. The title, which stands for Snowboard SuperX (X as in "cross") will be released in time for the North American launch date. The game is also readied to take full control of the snowboarding market from the get-go.

The general concept behind the game is to pit different snowboarders from around the world against each other, to compete in various environments. Each character has his/her own personality, allowing for in-depth character development, and further playability options. EA is hoping that the titles' unique gameplay, along with eye-popping graphics and a rapid-beat soundtrack will win over gamers this October.
