Square Enix may be notorious for game delays and hazy release dates (Final Fantasy XII anyone?), but we can rest assured history won't repeat itself with Romancing SaGa, as the company has announced the game's North American ship date to be October 11, 2005.

Romancing SaGa sets us Mardias, a world soon to be threatened by the menacing Saruin, whose one thousand years of imprisonment seem to be growing thin. When a mysterious minstrel arrives to guide a group in the right direction, though, the world just might have a fighting chance.

Building on top of the SaGa series' renowned elements, the game offers a new free-roaming scenario that allows for command over eight unique characters, each able to alter the plot with his or her own actions.

So Romancing SaGa is coming out when? Don't tell us you forgot already?! October 11! Write it down or something! Geez...
