THQ Continues The Onslaught
While the last few days have provided for many an announcements from THQ, today is no different. As they have announced their entire game line-up for 2K2. More info inside.

Before we get this story rollin', I think it'd be appropriate to hear a few words from THQ's president and CEO. So without further adieu, here are the words from the man himself: "THQ looks forward to delivering the best gaming content in 2002. This year's lineup includes several new brands like Britney Spears and Pride FC, as well as sequels to some of the biggest brands in console gaming like Red Faction, Summoner and World Wrestling Federation. We are delighted to be kicking-off 2002 with an expanding portfolio of product catering to every game player and every game system." Now that I've got that out of the way, onto the reason your reading this story in the first place.
All in all, THQ has five PS2 titles set for release sometime during this year. They are the following (title followed by game background, and scheduled release date):
Summoner 2: Carrying on the legacy of the first game, this is a role-playing fantasy epic from THQ's Volition studio. The title includes "fascinating characters, mystifying spells and an engaging storyline." Only for PS2.
Available: Fall
Hot Wheels: This title seeks to bring the "power, speed and attitude" of Hot Wheels to life. Combines speed based missions with dark moody environments. For PS2 and GCN.

Britney's Dance Beat: Miss Spears is lookin' for some back-up dancers. Basically revolves around seeing if you can "keep the beat" to her songs. Includes concert footage and interview clips. For PS2.
Available: Spring
Scooby Doo: Story revolves around Scooby's friends being kidnapped and you having to find them. Features 12 levels of gameplay. For PS2 and GCN.
Available: Summer
Also, at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (also known as E[sup]3[/sup]) in May, THQ is planning on showing off footage of titles such as Red Faction 2 (click link for more on RF2) and even the next Smackdown game. We will of course have full coverage of the Expo this May, so make sure not to miss it.
