R-Type's Final Word
We dig deep into Irem's final R-Type project, offering massive hands-on preview impressions, a tasty interview with the developers and a no-nonsense call on the final version of the game.

If you think you've seen the words R-Type Final floating around the site an awful lot lately, you're not crazy; we've been going ga-ga for the game leading up to the release and kicked up plenty of praise in text form.
For starters, we sat down with the developers and tossed a few questions at them. They tossed a few answers back and before you could say "onomatopoeic expression indicating speed," we kicked up this oh so tasty Q&A for your perusal. Head on over and check it out.
Once you've gotten a little more info straight from the Japanese horse's mouth, you have the option of either gathering a little info from our hands-on preview of the game in action, or just jumping right into our final verdict on the game. Both the preview and review have something different to offer (we're trying out something new in giving you all the goodies on the game with the preview and then leaving the actual review for actual judgement on all the game's bits and pieces). Check out the preview here and the review here.
That's all for now, now git on over to the interview, preview or review. I said git!
