'Tis the Season for Playboy
Step into the fuzzy slippers of Hefner himself in the upcoming Playboy: The Mansion game.

Although its development was confirmed around this time of year in 2003, co-publishers Groove Games and ARUSH Entertainment have announced that Playboy: The Mansion will be in stores for the PlayStation 2 just in time for the holidays.
"As you can imagine, we're all very excited about this project," admitted Joe Minton, CEO of Cyberlore Studios. "From the very beginning we've put a great deal of effort into making this groundbreaking game a fun and sexy experience for the PS2."
As national icon and Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner, players will have to make the right moves and associate with the right people in order to keep business thriving. Hosting outlandish parties at the Mansion, sweet-talking beautiful women and famous celebrities, scoring interviews with the latter and arranging photo shoots for Playboy Magazine will be what it takes to stay on top of the social scene. The game will even through you into what goes on a Photoshoot (nudity questionable), allowing you to take control of the camera and decide which moneyshot… I mean, picture, is best suited for the magazine's cover. The readers demand excellence!
"Playboy: The Mansion is an ambitious, clever title that will be right at home on the PlayStation 2 system," commented Jim Perkins, president and CEO of ARUSH Entertainment. "This game is unlike anything console gamers have ever seen before, and will raise the bar for simulation and empire-building games."
Featuring vibrant 3D environments, famous (perhaps notorious) locations at the Mansion including the Game House and the Grotto, Campaign and Empire modes and more, Playboy: The Mansion could in fact break new barriers in the world of gaming, with waves of controversy no doubt following. We'll give you the scoop on just how the game is turning out with a test run at E3 2004. For a more extensive rundown, be sure to check out www.playhef.com.
