For the past eight years, 989 Sports has been hosting the Game Before The Game, a pre-Super Bowl event where players from the AFC and NFC Championship teams play a Super Bowl simulation in the year's installment of NFL GameDay. And surprisingly, all of the teams that have won in the Game Before The Game simulation have gone on to win the Super Bowl for real. 989 looks to continue the perfect score this year, as the 9th Annual Game Before The Game will be held to (hopefully) continue a flawless tradition of determining who will be victorious in Super Bowl XXXVIII. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 7:00 PM at the Hotel Icon, 220 Main Houston in Houston, Texas. Players from this year's AFC and NFC Championship teams (who are yet to be determined, of course) will be on hand to battle it out on the PlayStation 2 version of NFL GameDay 2004 in a preview of Super Bowl XXXVIII.
