E3: Legends Of Wrestling Hits The PS2
Acclaim announced a new wrestling title for the PlayStation 2, going back into the yester-years of modern wrestling.

At the 2001 Electronic Entertainment Expo, Acclaim revealed their newest title for the PlayStation 2 console, Legends of Wrestling. This will be the first ever wrestling title to combine the talents of the greatest superstars from across the world into a single game.
Action will take place both in the ring, and within the crowd. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Captain Lou Albino will provide in-depth match analysis and career guidance. Over 30 of the top wrestlers, including Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and George "The Animal" Steele will be fully playable characters.
Players will be able to select from 12 different gameplay formats, including Ladder, Scaffold, Barbed-Wire, Three and Four-Way Dances, and Six and Eight-Man Elimination Bouts. Additionally, singles and tag team career modes will allow players to wrestle in rings across the United States, and all over the world. Special guest referees will also make appearances right before a match.
Special moves can be linked together in order to create lethal combinations with the press of a single button. Players can even create their own wrestling using special options available within the game. Players can create their own stables, and add customized logos and text to the ring attire of their favorite wrestlers.
