RUSH Rushed To Stores
To feed the frenzy of demand, of course.

Well, here we go, folks. Midway’s first free-roaming RUSH racing game has finally hit the streets. The Los Angeles-wide go-anywhere racer has officially shipped to stores across the country, and should be ready and waiting for you tomorrow.
"L.A. RUSH is the ultimate arcade driving experience delivering gamers an amazing sense of speed, rock-solid controls, big jumps, huge crashes and insane shortcuts," growled Steve Allison, Midway’s chief marketing officer. "The game's groundbreaking story mode features more than 50 licensed and concept cars, an intense soundtrack, and celebrity and hip-hop talent starring as in game characters, all the while still encapsulating the heart of the RUSH franchise."
If you’ve been following the game at all (and if you’re reading this site, you haven’t had much choice), you’ll know the game replicates five major areas of LA, and offers 36 licensed cars all ready and waiting to be tricked out by the very same West Coast Customs crew you know and love from Pimp My Ride.
This news comes on the heels of last week’s announcement of a contest gifting two very lucky winners with some extremely XTREEM re-worked versions of the 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. In fact, you should probably click that link up there to check out how you can get in on the contest.
Earlier in the week, Midway revealed they were scooping up the game’s developer, The Pitbull Syndicate, indicating that the developer/publisher relationship apparently is going quite well. Guess this means no more TPS-developed Test Drive games, eh.
As usual, look for a full review in the coming days, and keep your eyes peeled for a bit more media. We’re not entirely sure Midway’s done pimping their ride yet. Get it? HAHAHAHA! Pimp! Cause they have those guys on the show and they pim... their... FINE!
