This Year, They’ll Need the Whole Spectrum

Because last year it was “Come into the Red”. Recall? Anyone?

Square-Enix today announced an unforgivably large number of projects and products to be put on display at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. I suppose a list is in order:

~Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
(note the missing "Warrior" -- oh yeah, it's finally "Quest" in the States)
~Kingdom Hearts 2
~Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII
~Musashi: Mobile Samurai ( cell phone game, not for PSP, just cute as hell)
~Final Fantasy XII
~Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir
~Radiata Stories
~Romancing SaGa
~Final Fantasy XI (more content for)
~Front Mission Online
~Final Fantasy Advent Children

"This year's line-up will showcase huge titles from all of our major franchises, making this a particularly unique E3 for us," remarked an elated Ichiro Otobe, president and COO.

Offended by the nearly-pornographic number of AAA titles ‘ol Squeenix plans on showing off? You’re not alone. This is borderline ridiculous. Hell, cutting that list in half would still be pushing it. No doubt Squeenix is putting all their cards on the international table with this coming E3, I see a lot of “Best of Show” awards going to them, if only because a blind man with a machine gun can hit the broad side of a barn when he’s inside of the barn… and all the walls are broad, respectively. That… made sense.

Expect coverage of… some of these come E3. Let’s face it, we probably won’t get to all of them, we’re only (mostly) human. Okay, FINE. We’ll cover them all –- YOU owe us lunch.
