Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and developer Guerilla have entered into an agreement whereby Guerilla will develop games exclusively for SCEE and Sony platforms from now on.
"This strategic alliance with one of Europe's hottest new creative and technical talents shows our determination to only work with the best, whether they are our in-house or not," commented Phil Harrison, Executive Vice President, Development.
The team at Guerilla is currently hard at work with Killzone, a war-based action game that's on the hot list for titles due out in 2004.
"Killzone not only is a very important title for us but is also a great example of what can be done when a publisher and a developer partner closely together on a project," continued Mr. Harrison. "The results shout for themselves and I am delighted that our production and creative teams can work even more closely with Guerrilla going forward."
"We have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with SCEE throughout the development of Killzone and are extremely pleased to be extending this partnership," chimed Hermen Hulst, Managing Director of Guerrilla. "We are looking forward to working exclusively with SCEE, applying our talent and technology to new platforms in order to establish Guerrilla as one of the finest development studios in Europe."
Killzone, due out in October of this year, will be unveiled for this first time at E3 2004. We'll be sure to bring you first impressions on the game when we report live from the show in May!
