Answering the calls of yearning strategy gamers, Koei has shipped Kessen III off to North American retailers.
"Kessen III's completely re-invented gameplay capitalizes on the strengths that have formed the foundation of our success. Whether you're a gamer seeking action or strategy, producer Kou Shibusawa's martial arts epic is tailored to provide a compelling combination of the two," assures Amos Ip, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Koei Corporation, "With over 120 minutes of cinematic sequences, the game also represents another approach by the company to further blur the line between cinematic storytelling and gaming."
Set in Japan's "warring states" period, the game casts players as Nobunaga Oda, a fearless young teenage who must stand against opposing warriors to save a land now plagued by chaos. New to the features list are non-linear stage selection, an officer and troop development system, and as well as an officer-equipping process that employs over 450 weapons and accessories.
Kessen III charges to stores with a $49.99 retail price to its name and "T" for "Teen" rating.
