Koei seems very confident in their real-time war simulation entitled Kessen. So much so that they have announced details on the sequel appropriately titled "Kessen II", although that is a tenative title. The company has announced that they've already begun work on Kessen II, which should be released in Japan for the PS2 sometime around early 2001, with summer 2001 releases in the US and Europe.

Although only approximately five percent complete, sources on the inside say that the sequel already looks very promising. Koei has hinted at adding new features to improve on the current/future Kessen, including such magic spells as tornado and lightning. Included in the improvement upgrade are the epic battles , which Koei has said can involve up to 500 warriors to go at it in the sequel.
