In the unlikely event that you feel as though you’ve got something to prove with your mad karaoke ‘n’ dancing “skillz” (since, let’s face it, we’re not all so gifted), Konami’s got your number. The company gave word today of its plans to hit up shopping malls in select states with the latest versions of its trademark music titles – Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME 2 and Karaoke Revolution Party (slated for a November 8th release) for we PS2 daddies – giving any old shmuck who claims talent the chance to sing along or dance in daily competitions. Konami swag will be distributed freely in the form of game t-shirts and DDR sampler CDs, with one lucky winner on the tour scoring the jackpot with a mini-recording studio for their home. As for the rest of you… well, at least you’ll have those embarrassing performances on CD to give to your friends! Or better yet, a local recording studio – we’re certain you’re golden, kid.

“The best way to show off the fun and excitement of these two beloved games to potential new customers is to give them the chance to play them,” reasons Jason Enos, Product Manager, Konami Digital Entertainment - America. “It is clear to us that once consumers have the opportunity to experience the unique gameplay these products have to offer, they will be hooked on Dance Dance Revolution and Karaoke Revolution. Taking them on a mall tour is an excellent way for us to increase awareness and exposure of both brands to a mass consumer audience.”
