Third Installments of Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank Coming This Fall

It has been confirmed, folks! Everyone's favorite two duos on the PS2 will be returning in Fall 2004!

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today that third installments in both the Jak and Daxter and Ratchet & Clank series will be released in fall of this year. Psyched yet?




"We are delighted to continue our relationship with two of the most talented and imaginative development teams in the industry," said Ami Blaire, director, product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "Consumers want more from traditional platform games and Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games have made strides to implement technology innovation in order to raise the industry standard and invigorate the genre. The upcoming sequels will continue to push the boundaries as both teams incorporate revolutionary gameplay elements."



Both Jak and Daxter III and Ratchet & Clank 3 (working titles) follow on the tremendous success of their predecessors. Both games received numerous honors and awards from the press, including IGN, Cinescape and EGM awarding the prestigious Best PlayStation 2 Game of 2003 to Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando.



As you can imagine, we here at the offices are giddy with excitement over the announcement, and who wouldn't be? Unless SCEA plans to wait until E3 to reveal any details on Jak and Daxter III and Ratchet & Clank 3 (working titles), we'll be sure to be bring you any first details we scrap up on the two games.
