“IGPX is about giving players the freedom to have fun, whether they’re playing through the game’s multiple game modes or customizing their own unique IG Machines with a slew of parts and accessories,” begins Naruo Uchida, VP of Localization at Namco Bandai Games. “The unique combination of high speed racing, heated team battles, and immersive customization brings an incredible amount of depth to IGPX.”
Any clearer on this whole IGPX thing yet? No? Okay, to be perfectly honest we're so out of the loop ourselves that we had to use a cheat sheet. Here's the poo: IGPX (or the Immortal Grand Prix if you're not into the whole brevity thing) is a team-based series of races around roller coaster-like tracks at 350 mile an hour speeds in craft called IG Machines. More than 70 tracks in all comprise the league and each of the vehicles offers more than 100 parts that can be customized to suit the style of the driver.
Sounds kinda interesting, right? Yeah, we thought so too, so much so that we're willing to bring you this TOTALLY EXCLUSIVE NEWS (except that it's hardly news and it's totally not exclusive): IGPX is in stores now. How did we find out? Monkeys. The monkeys always know. Like, for instance, they told us that the game actually centers around Team Satomi and their quest (with your help) to win the IGPX amidst a field of 15 other competitive teams.
Oh, you probably already knew that if you know what IGPX actually stood for, but then you probably knew the game was in stores already too, so this story isn't really for you, Mr. Smart Guy/Gal. For everyone else, consider yourselves now in the know.
