Sphinx Hits The Web
THQ's ambitious adventure game finally has an online presence.

It's a little odd seeing the direction THQ is taking as of late, mainly because when I worked for them in the past, they never seemed so ambitious. Then again, they didn't have the kind of lineup they have now. With stunningly good looking platformers and the almost guaranteed success of the Splashdown sequel, plus a couple of potential sleeper hits, the company looks poised to finally break into publishing as a legit gaming powerhouse.
One of those potential sleeper hits is Sphinx and the Shadow of Set. The Egyptian themed adventure game looks like it could offer a decent story to go along with the requisite action. Of course, if you haven't heard about Sphinx yet, you might be wondering if it's even good. We'll reserve judgment until we've spent a little hands-on time with it , but there's plenty of info on hand at the game's recently opened official site.
While still a little lean on content, the site's current form offers some interesting tidbits on the game's main character in the form of wallpapers, e-cards and those oh so popular AIM icons. While Sphinx, the game's namesake, is the only character available character at the moment, the demi-god isn't the only thing to peruse at the site. Plenty of info on the game itself is available, including story details, a trailer, screenshots, and concept art, with more content to come in the next few months leading up to the game's release.
We're sure to have more info on Sphinx after some hands-on time with it at this year's E3, and rest assured that you'll know everything we do then.
