Stuntman Is Go

The Next Big Thang(tm) from the creators of Driver and Destruction Derby is racing to shelves as you read this.

Stuntman is good. We played far, far too much of it at E3, and if our previews database was alive and kicking, you'd know that. Perhaps it's better, though, that you don't have to listen to me bather on and on about how eerily fun it was to race around the same movie set, straining to pull off that perfect stunt sequence. Or maybe it isn't; who can say? The good news, either way, is that not only will we have ample opportunity to practice our digital daredevil antics, but so will you. That's right, kiddies, Stuntman is headed to stores as of this moment.

"Combining precision driving skills with the excitement of Hollywood action, 'Stuntman' puts a whole new spin on the driving genre," beamed Jean-Philippe Agati, Infogrames LA's Senior VP and General Manager. "Working with record-holding stunt man Vic Armstrong, we've created white-knuckled, death-defying stunts representative of one of the coolest jobs out there. The Reflections team has implemented the most advanced physics and damage models ever in video games. The end result is something totally unique and completely fun."

With a stable of 40 different vehicles and a dozen upon dozens of different stunt scenarios to play through, it's no wonder we're psyched. Stay tuned for a full review in the next few days, but take a gander at these spiffy screens in the mean time:
