TransWorld Surf Heads To The PS2
It's been called the best surfing game ever, and it's bound for your little black box.

Infogrames has revealed that their Angel Studios-developed surfer will see action on the PlayStation 2 and its much larger install base, something that will no doubt make surfing fans happy. Already getting rave reviews on the Xbox, TransWorld Surf obviously rises above any of the other surfing games out here. Granted, that's not a huge accomplishment, but perhaps it took a team of crazy hardcore surfers like the guys over at Angel Studios (yes, the same Angel Studios that made the Smuggler's Run series).
The port won't just be a quick and dirty effort, either, as Angel is tossing a couple new extras for PS2 owers. In addition to the nine venues from the Xbox version, including hot spots like Fort Point near San Francisco and Pipeline off the coast of Oahu, PS2 owners will get another exclusive location: Todos Santos in Mexico. PS2 owners also get Shark Attack, a new tag-like game mode that can't be found on the other version.
"TransWorld Surf has taken the gaming industry by storm with its incredible graphics and lifelike gameplay physics. The next logical step was to offer it to an even broader audience by bringing it to PlayStation 2," said Infogrames Los Angeles director of marketing Laddie Ervin. With the addition of the Todos Santos, Mexico location, the Shark Attack multiplayer mode and updated sponsors and licenses, PlayStation 2 owners are in for an insanely addictive and unique gaming experience."
