Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. and On Command Corporation have recently penned a deal to allow On Command to put PS One entertainment consoles in over 280,000 hotel rooms across the country. While at a stay at one of the participating hotel chains (Adam's Mark Hotels & Resorts, Four Seasons, Hyatt, Inter-Continental, Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, Wyndham and others), vacationers will be able to rent time on a PS One, as well as games such as Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.[blockquote]"The 'Crash Bandicoot' and 'Spyro the Dragon' titles are two of Sony Computer Entertainment America's most successful PlayStation series," said Irene Marsh, On Command's director of cable & special programming. "Both games are rated 'E' for everyone and can be played by business travelers or families on vacation. We are excited that the adventures of these popular characters continue and that our hotel partners can offer the latest and greatest PlayStation titles to their guests."[/blockquote]The Sony/On Command deal will hopefully go into effect as soon as next month, but expect a few months at least for the program to take full effect.
And to think, I was doing it the hard way by toting my PS One, Interact Mobile Monitor and games with me whenever I was staying at a hotel...
