For whatever reason, sometimes a story falls through the cracks. Miscommunication, misdirection or sometimes just a missed opportunity means something really cool doesn't get posted. Such is the case with the PS2 version of NOLF, a port of the PC game that added a lot more personality to the FPS genre. Sierra, in their quest to provide more high-quality PC game experiences to those console gamers that might normally miss out. First it was half-life, then Tribes 2, and now NOLF.

"But Sam," you ask, "what's so gosh darn special about the PS2 version of NOLF?" Good question little Billy. First off, there's the fact that the latest version of the LithTech engine was built from the ground up to take advange of the PS2 as well as the PC. Secondly, there's the goodness of 60 levels of action, and yes, that includes 4 PS2-exclusive ones that'll have you taking the reins of a slightly younger (rrrrowr!) Kate Archer as she learns the ropes as a thief. Of course, the game will still offer everything that was in the PC version, including Kate's 30+ weapons, a cast of 20 characters (with -- GASP! -- character!), a little high-speed motorcycle and snowmobile action, and of course all the gorgeous locales all over the world. Just to whet your appetite a little more, we managed to pull down a few shots of the game in action -- including a few you'll see nowhere else. Enjoy!

Taking heavy fire
Groooooovy colors
Fear the Scottsman and his beefy mitts!
Nice, lush environments
Yummy architecture
Mmmmm... muzzle flash
Morocco isn't all that friendly
Don't be afraid of the dark
I don't think this guy wants a tip
Steely environment, steely reception
