Wireless Face Rocking?!
Oh yes... it's coming...
Published: October 27, 2006
Ask anyone who's mainlined pure, sweet rock for a couple of months what they think Guitar Hero's biggest downfall is, and they'll likely cough up some comment about it not being time for Guitar Hero II yet, which is true, but press 'em further and they'll spit back something about not being allowed to rock out with maximum intensity because there's still a cord there, man.
Problem solved; the cord is gone. See? See how much RedOctane loves you?
"RedOctane has long been committed to offering high-quality videogame accessories for gamers,” beamed RedOctane's head of publishing, Dusty Welch. “Being able to give our fans an option to rock the wireless guitar controller was definitely a priority for us, and it’ll provide another exciting experience for players to achieve rock star status!”
No more being told that we're rocking out too hard by the game as we rip the controller from the PS2 during a backflip, no more limitations on on-stage antics, and what promises to be tons more embarrassing videos that will probably show up on YouTube of alcohol- and drug-fueled kids performing hijinks -- hijinks for Satan. It's what we're going to upload, anyway! This is what happens when you start putting KISS songs in games like GHII...
Both the new wireless controller (which clocks in at about $60) and Guitar Hero II ($80 for the game and a the new red wired Gibson SG controller) will hit next month.
