Logitech GT3 Wheel Ships

The greatest racing wheel for the greatest racing game ever has shipped.

Logitech, a name synonymous with quality PC hardware, has announced that they have shipped the Official Logitech Gran Turismo 3:A-Spec GT Force Wheel. The wheel, while available for PC, has been redesigned internally for exclusive use with Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec on the PlayStation 2 (although a list of at least a half-dozen titles for PS2 have been confirmed to be compatible, including Twisted Metal:Black and Tokyo Extreme Racer: Zero). The major feature of the GT Force wheel is it's "true force-feedback", which allows the racer to feel every bump, every change in wind direction and every time the wheels loose and then regain traction. The wheel actually fights you as you go around turns. It has to be experienced to be appreciated and is said to be the only way to play Gran Turismo 3. Expect a full review next Monday as I will test it personally with Tokyo Extreme Racer: Zero and then GT3 the Monday afterwards.

The Official Logitech Gran Turismo 3:A-Spec GT Force Wheel retails for $99.99 and comes with a free set of Pro Logic Surge-17 subwoofer and speakers combo at participating retailers across the country.
