Logitech announced today that it's PlayStation 2 force-feedback steering wheel, the GT Force will be supported by Infogrames upcoming vehicular combat game, Motor Mayhem.
Motor Mayhem pits players into a championship tournament, where they can select from a variety of different drivers and accompanying vehicles. Each driver and vehicle is equipped with special weaponry and unique attack moves designed to destroy opponents.
Ted Hoff, Vice President and General Manager for Logitech's Interactive Entertainment Division stated the following today:
[blockquote]"Infogrames says that when you participate in Motor Mayhem's Vehicle Combat League(TM), `you're always between a rock and a hard place'. The best way to experience this kind of action is with force feedback. We think that with the game's support of this technology, found exclusively in our GT Force wheel, gamers will now become a part of the action."[/blockquote]The GT Force force feedback steering wheel was released earlier this year in Japan, with record sales. The wheel will be released simultaneously with Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec in North America this summer. Motor Mayhem will be released this June for a retail price of $49.99 in U.S. dollars.
