Sony ain't afraid of no Ghosts

SCEE developed title "Ghosthunter" gets ready for a stateside release
Published: April 23, 2004
Namco today announced it's plans to publish the SCEE developed title Ghosthunter in the US. A 3rd-person action title, Ghosthunter puts you in the shoes of Lazarus Jones, a rookie Detroit cop searching for his partner, Anna Steele who was abducted by ghosts while on a routine assignment. Fused with a ghost himself, Lazarus finds himself possessed with ability to see into the spectral realm. Armed with this second-sight and a plethora of other ghost fighting weapons and tools, you set off to find and save your partner and eventually, of course, save the world.

"We are always working to deliver new and distinctive experiences to gamers, and Ghosthunter definitely qualifies," said Rod Nakamoto, Executive Vice President of Research and Development. "With its all-out action, supernatural universe, cinematic gameplay, dark and eerie atmosphere, and even humor, Ghosthunter gives gamers a truly unique action-horror experience."

Any title with a premise this unique is worth at least keeping an eye on. Be sure that we'll be keeping an eye on it and other titles like it as we draw closer to E3 2004. Keep it here.
