Eidos Interactive has truly opened the floodgates for Hitman: Contracts, as a slew of media tidbits and info on the game has been released on the third installment in the popular assassin series in the past few days.

Topping off these updates is the official announcement that Contracts is locked and loaded, or in other words, has gone gold.

"As the follow-up to the multi-million unit selling Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts is one of this year's "must-have" titles for gamers," opined Paul Baldwin, Vice President of Marketing for Eidos Inc. "Eidos will unleash an exciting marketing campaign with tremendous reach and frequency to back the next installment."

The massive marketing campaign is one of the largest to-date for Eidos North America. The most frequent of the ads will appear on television as four different 15 and 30-second spots. Obviously aiming for the young male crowd, radio campaigning for the game will appear on the Howard Stern Show, while print ads will be featured in "lifestyle" publications such as FHM, Blender, Penthouse and Stuff magazines. Also aiming to advertise online, the Hitman: Contracts television spot will be released via Interscope Records and the 50 Cent and Eminem DeskSite (the opt-in software program that delivers video entertainment right to your PC) units.

Now, on to the media!

We'll kick things off with the official Hitman: Contracts TV spot which you'll likely witness grazing the channels over the next few weeks. Simply put, if the badass-ness of Agent 47 displayed in this commercial doesn't make you yearn to step into the shoes of an assassin, I don't know what will.

Up next is the final trailer in the "Psychology of the Assassin" series. In Part 3, the message is truly driven home through the intense gameplay footage and straightforward, powerful prose displayed throughout it: "Kill anywhere, kill anytime, it's nothing personal. Every Hitman has a story, every contract has a story, this is the psychology of the assassin." Enough said.
