We're all for a little digital mayhem -- especially when it comes to racing games. There aren't nearly enough racers that encourage destruction on the track, and then let it all stay there as you races subsequent laps, front bumpers and splintered 2x4's littering the roadway until you finally cross the finish. Nor are there enough racing games where slamming into something will jettison the driver out onto the open road in deliciously hilarious ragdoll tumbling delight. But hey, at least there's FlatOut.

We've already gushed over the game's heady mix of high-speed racing and ragdoll-driven masochistic mini-games in our preview, but it's even more exciting these days because the game's finally gone gold. For those not hip to the lingo, it's the term used to denote that the final build of the game has been pressed to a gold master disc that is then sent off for mass production. It also means you have just over a week to get prepped for some extremely addictive racing.
