Fantasy XII playable on the show floor at last year's show, showcased the RPG juggernaut solely in trailer form. This is one fantastic adventure that will no longer slip off the mark, though, as Squenix has announced the game's Japanese release date to be March 16, 2006, with a North American version scheduled to hit "later in 2006." Could this be the last great PlayStation 2 hit before its next-gen version hits the market in spring '06? Time will tell on that one.
