Square Enix has finally announced an official release date for the upcoming Chains of Promathia expansion pack for Final Fantasy XI – September 21, 2004. Introducing a new chapter into the epic story of Vana'diel, the expansion will open up new areas that have only been hinted at before, unravel many mysteries, shine light on numerous secrets and more. Since its release, Final Fantasy XI has established a community of 500,000 players and 1.2 million active players in Japan and North America combined.
