FFX Gets A US Release Date
You'll have to wait until next year, but not too far into it.

In a pleasant surprise, Square announced that Final Fantasy X would be landing Stateside not in February as originally thought, but just after we enter 2002. While no specific day has been confirmed, the game will hit shelves some time in January.
To give you an idea of how insanely well FFX has been recieved in Japan (it always has been, but this is insane), Square reports that they sold through 90% of the 2.14 million copies they shipped to stores in just the first four days.
If you've seen any images of FFX, you know how good it looks (and just in case you haven't, we'll be posting a slew of new high-res images to help slacken that jaw of yours). While it's not really known if the reception here in the States will be as strong as in Japan, but it's obvious that it'll be huge.
