Final Fantasy X-2 Reviewed
Square Enix's first true FF sequel is upon us. We take a nice, long look and give our verdict. You might be surprised at the result...

With exactly eleventy billion copies sold (not an exact figure), the Final Fantasy series is one of the most consistently popular and just plain entertaining games around. For 15 years, however, gamers have been taken on repeated trips to completely unrelated worlds, since each game is completely unrelated to those that came before it. Until now. With Final Fantasy X-2, the millions that dug into Spira and were swept along with the lovey-dovey end-of-the-world themes that Final Fantasy X offered will get the chance to revisit that world in the series' first true sequel. Although not designed by the exact same team that made FFX, plenty of resources have been reused to keep things nice and familiar.
Of course, just because the setting's the same doesn't mean the game will be, and in the two years since FFX concluded, quite a few changes have shaken up Spira, namely the bashful, reserved High Summoner that saved the world. Now a sassy, sexy, gussied up pop star, Yuna and a pair of equally cute female cohorts have sexed up FF's previously quite un-sexed image. But is the change a positive one, or should all of those changes have been left for another side project. Take a look at our tasty review (complete with over 100 images and happily spoiler-free for those that didn't play FFX) and see for yourself.
