Sony's extremely popularized Fantavision may be coming in multiplayer form in the near future. But when it finally reaches completion, the game may only reach European fans. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) recently confirmed that their version of Fantavision would be available in a two-player format, unlike the current one-player format found in the Japanese edition.

Representatives for Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) have not made any new announcements regarding the development of the North America edition of this title. In fact, the North American branch has yet to make announcements on any of it's future PS2 software titles.

The two-player mode for Fantavision has been described as being in split screen form. No word on whether this game will make a transition into a multiplayer internet game. The concept of being able to play this game VIA the internet still sounds very interesting, and could be included in a possible future sequel (?).

The original game, which was released in Japan on March 4 of this year, is a fireworks simulation that allows you to create, modify and form a splendid visual explosion on your screen. It is expected that this new two-player feature will allow for even more in-depth gameplay.
