Street Streets... Again

Yes, you correctly identified that as a FIFA Street 2 reference. Here's a cookie.

It seems like only a week ago that we were talking about FIFA Street 2 going gold and ohhhh about five days ago (we're really good at keeping time) that we told you about the soundtrack. Well, guess what? It's done. Finished. Out the door. It's in stores, man, and you can grab it now. Right now. Okay, tomorrow.

In case you just got back from screaming down the freeway at 120 miles an hour hoping to get to the game store before it closed only to find out you didn't know what the game cover looked like so you could jab that mealy finger towards the case and scream "ah wunt tha un!" without asking for the game title, you want the one with Man U's Cristiano Ronaldo in a hyper-stylized bit of artwork so crazy you probably wouldn't even recognize him. If you stuck around, congrats, you aren't one of those one paragraph reading reactionary types. Good on ya.

“This is quite an honor to be the new face of FIFA Street 2,” Ronaldo squealed in our informative press release. “The game mirrors the same ideals and philosophies that I use in my approach to everyday football. I played on the street growing up where I had many one-on-one battles, so it’s exciting to be a part of the EA SPORTS family and contribute to a style of football I’ve been playing all my life.”

That's right, kids, Ronaldo CAPTIALIZES EA Sports. Not us, though, we're rebels like that. Not rebels enough to keep from informing you that the game has a reworked GameBreaker system, 10 new venues, 320 players, signature moves, better AI and mini-games, though, we pick our battles, man.

Expect a review in the next few days, but if you just can't wait that long, well, hurry up and head back down to the store and jab at the picture of the artistic rendition of a contortionist like the one see on our game page. Oh, yeah, you probably could have visited that all along. Whoops!
