EQOA Ain't Dead Yet
SOE still has plans for the console version of EverQuest. Read on to find out what.

Tomorrow morning at 9AM Pacific time, Sony Online Entertainment will begin their first set of massively multiplayer online podcasts. Wait, let's rephrase that. Their first podcast about MMOs -- the idea of a bunch of MMO players all collectively participating in a podcast is enough to make one's skin crawl from the sheer potential for retardation, but, well, yeah, that's not happening. Fortunately.
Instead, SOE will discuss mostly PC-related EverQuest goings-on, including what's up with the new Progression Server that they're launching for EQ players (yes, the original one, it's still around), plus deets on what's happening in EQII land (hint: they're gonna talk about the SOE Fan Faire, some PvP updates, and The Fallen Dynasty and Echoes of Faydwer (the upcoming adventure and expansion packs).
But that's that fancy-pants PC stuff. For console gamers, amazingly, there's some info -- and it isn't, sadly about the upcoming PS3 launch title Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom (which, let's admit, could probably use a little more positive buzz). Instead, they're going to wax philosophical about EverQuest Online Adventure and what changes are in store for the 3+ year-old PS2 MMO.
Though you'll be able to download the podcast whenever it goes up at this link (psst, unless something changed, it's up right now). You can also monitor the RSS feed to check to see when future updates will be posted. Once you've got it, fast-forward to 4:15 to get the poop, and enjoy one of the more positive voices in the podcast.
And now you know.
